Mumbai, Jun 23 (PTI) Senior IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe has been replaced as the guardian secretary of Parbhani district, according to a Maharashtra government order issued on Tuesday.
The General Administration Department (GAD) issued the order revising the appointments of guardian secretaries for select districts, an official said.
As per the order, the 2005-batch IAS officer, who was serving as the guardian secretary of Parbhani in an additional role, has been replaced by senior bureaucrat Dr Chandrakant Pulakundwar, currently serving as Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department.
No reason was mentioned in the order for the removal of Mundhe, considered an upright officer who has faced frequent transfers in his over two-decade-long civil service career.
Mundhe is currently serving as Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), where he was posted last month. PTI AW RSY
