Chandigarh, May 25 (PTI) Hot weather conditions continued to prevail in Haryana and Punjab on Monday, with Sirsa reeling at a maximum temperature of 46.2 degrees Celsius.
Sirsa in Haryana was the hottest place in the state, according to the Met here.
Sizzling heat also prevailed in Rohtak and Bhiwani, which recorded respective maximums of 45.2 degrees Celsius and 44 degrees Celsius.
Ambala recorded a high of 43.6 degrees, Hisar 43.3 degrees, Karnal 42.7 degrees, Narnaul 44.2 degrees, while Gurugram recorded a high of 41.6 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, also experienced hot weather at 42.7 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Bathinda sizzled at 44.7 degrees Celsius while Patiala registered a maximum of 43.6 degrees Celsius.
Ludhiana recorded a maximum of 42 degrees Celsius, while Amritsar’s high settled at 40.6 degrees Celsius.
