Hamirpur (HP), Nov 3 (PTI) In view of the heavy crowds in the Hamirpur main market during the Diwali festival, the deputy commissioner on Tuesday issued an order prohibiting all vehicular movement in the main market area from November 5 to 8.
This order will not apply to emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire brigade vehicles, along with police personnel and vehicles engaged in other essential services.
Deputy Commissioner Gandharva Rathore said that a one-way traffic system will be in effect on the Dang Di Kwali-Hiranagar road between 9 and 11 am, and again from 4 to 6 pm.
“On November 6 and 7, there will be a complete ban on all vehicular movement along this same route,” she added.
Rathore said that these decisions have been taken to ensure the safety and convenience of the public during the festive season. She has appealed to everyone to cooperate and ensure strict compliance with these directives. PTI COR PRK
