Himachal industrialist donates Rs 1.01 crore to Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee

Gopeshwar, Apr 24 (PTI) An industrialist from Himachal Pradesh donated Rs 1.01 crore to the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) on Friday following the recent reopening of the Himalayan shrines.

Mahinder Sharma, the chairman and managing director of ANS Constructions Private Ltd, presented the cheque of Rs 1.01 crore to the committee chairman Hemant Dwivedi.

Sharma, who has also been a member of the BKTC for the past decade, is the first devotee to donate over Rs 1 crore since the temples opened for the current season.

The doors of the Badrinath temple opened for devotees on April 23, while the Kedarnath shrine opened one day earlier on April 22. PTI COR DPT AKY AKY MNK MNK
