Jaipur, Jul 8 (PTI) Light to moderate rain was recorded in parts of Rajasthan on Monday, with Vijaynagar in Ajmer receiving the highest rainfall of 103 mm brought by the southwest monsoon, which is expected to gain strength and bring heavy showers from July 10.
The weather is expected to remain mostly dry in the Jodhpur division of western Rajasthan for the next three to four days and light to moderate rain is expected at some places in Bikaner division. Rain activities will also increase in western Rajasthan from July 12.
Increase in heavy rain activities is likely in eastern Rajasthan from July 10 and in western Rajasthan from July 12. Kota, Bharatpur divisions may witness heavy rains on July 10.
On Tuesday, light to moderate rains with thunderstorms are likely in some places in Bharatpur, Kota, Jaipur, Udaipur and Bikaner divisions and the weather is likely to remain mainly dry in most of the remaining places.
