New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry has launched the myCGHS app on the iOS platform to enhance access to electronic health records, information, and resources for beneficiaries of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), a PIB press release stated.

The app was developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in collaboration with the NIC Health Team.

It is available for free on both iOS and Android platforms. Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra launched the app, saying that it is an integral part of the government’s efforts to leverage technology to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services.

The myCGHS app allows beneficiaries to book and cancel online appointments, download CGHS cards and index cards, access lab reports from CGHS labs, check medicine history, and more. It also provides referrals, a list of nearby wellness centres, vaccination details, and contact information for health officials.

It also has features for data security, including two-factor authentication and mPIN. The app is now available on both iOS and Android platforms, free of charge. CGHS beneficiaries are encouraged to download it and use it to enhance their healthcare experience. The app was developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in collaboration with the NIC Health Team.
