Medininagar, Jun 30 (PTI) Police recovered a partially burnt body of a woman from a forest in Jharkhand’s Palamu district on Tuesday.

The body was recovered from Karso forest under the jurisdiction of Chainpur police station, after people alerted the police, an officer said.

Chainpur police station officer-in-charge Lalji said, “We recovered a partially burnt unidentified body of a woman from the forest area. Upon examining the body, it seems the victim was aged between 20 and 22. The forensic team collected evidence from the spot, and efforts are being made to establish the woman’s identity.” He said the case is being investigated from all possible angles. However, the exact cause of the woman’s death will only be determined after the autopsy report arrives.
