Gurugram, Sep 25 (PTI) Gurugram Police on Friday demolished an illegal structure allegedly belonging to a close aide of gangster Kaushal Chaudhary as part of a crackdown under its “zero-tolerance” policy against criminals and land mafia, police said.
Acting on intelligence inputs, police identified the illegal construction in Naharpur Rupa and demolished it, restoring the land to its original condition, they said.
The accused was identified as Krishna, a resident of Naharpur Rupa. More than 11 criminal cases, including those related to murder, attempt to murder and offences under the Arms Act, have been registered against him in Gurugram, police said.
The action was carried out by the Crime Branch, Sector 39, in coordination with the concerned departments, they said.
Under police supervision, the illegal structure was removed and the land cleared. Law and order was maintained throughout the operation, police said.
“Gurugram Police remains fully committed to protecting public land, maintaining law and order, and safeguarding citizens from exploitation,” a police spokesperson said.
