Govt organises ‘Samadhan Campaign’ to honor ex-servicemen’s sacrifices

The Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare organized “Samadhan Campaign”, an outreach program aimed at honoring the sacrifices made by ex-servicemen and their families. The campaign also sought to address their grievances related to various welfare schemes of the department, a PIB press release stated.

A large number of veterans from Darjeeling and other adjoining districts of West Bengal and Bihar are participating in the campaign. Interacting with the veterans, Secretary (Ex-servicemen Welfare) Dr Niten Chandra said that the government is committed to strengthening the welfare measures for veterans.
The government is committed to strengthening the welfare measures for veterans. Secretary (Ex-servicemen Welfare) Dr Niten Chandra directed the Rajya and Zila Sainik Boards, ECHS, and other agencies under the department to create a proactive communication and collaboration mechanism.
The ‘Samadhan Campaign’ is an initiative by the Department to honor the sacrifices made by ex-servicemen and their families, by proactively engaging with them and addressing their grievances related to the department’s various welfare schemes.

Through proactive engagement and meaningful dialogue, the campaign seeks to create a conducive environment for ex-servicemen to thrive and contribute to society positively. The department will provide complete and accurate information to veterans about all the welfare schemes available to them.
