New Delhi, Apr 17 (PTI) Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Friday said that the government is expanding capacity building to scientists and academics, as part of its continuous efforts towards preparing institutions for evolving governance demands.
Addressing the valedictory ceremony of “Sadhana Saptah 2026” here, he described artificial intelligence and digital tools as key enablers of future ready governance, noting that government employees are increasingly adopting emerging competencies to keep pace with change.
The Sadhana (Strengthening Adaptive Development and Humane Aptitude for National Advancement) Saptah, has been termed as one of the largest collaborative capacity building efforts across India’s civil services ecosystem At the same time, Singh cautioned that technology must complement human judgement, stressing that “integrity remains central to public service”.
He also pointed to the evolution of the government’s learning platform from a “primitive” beginning into a widely used interface, supporting large-scale participation and continuous engagement across departments.
