Germany continues to open doors for Indian talent: MEA

New Delhi, Jul 1 (PTI) Germany has underscored the strength of the Comprehensive Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement with India and welcomed skilled Indian workforce to contribute to building stronger bilateral ties, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Wednesday.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said this in a series of posts on X.

The MEA is hosting the Human Resource Mobility Forum in Delhi. Envoys of various countries, including Germany, Italy and Japan, took part in different sessions at the event on Wednesday.

“Germany continues to open doors for Indian talent. At today’s Human Resource Mobility Forum, Germany underscored the strength of the India-Germany CMMPA and welcomed skilled Indian workforce to contribute in building stronger India-Germany ties,” Jaiswal said.

The German-Indian Comprehensive Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement (MMPA) was signed in December 2022 and came into effect in March 2023.

Jaiswal further said, “Invigorating India-Japan collaboration in skill-based mobility. Emerging pathways for India and Japan collaborating in mobility was highlighted in the Human Resource Mobility Forum.” He also shared photos of a session attended by Italian envoy Antonio Bartoli.

“Opportunities in Italy are growing! Today’s session at Human Resource Mobility Forum highlighted the India-Italy 2023 Migration and Mobility Agreement, featuring substantial opportunities for Indian workers and new residence opportunities for students. With a fresh focus on recruiting Indian nurses, our bilateral cooperation is reaching new heights,” the MEA spokesperson posted.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had addressed the Human Resource Mobility Forum on Tuesday.

He had underlined the importance of collective responsibility of nations to combat illegal migration and human trafficking, and asserted that “trusted mobility pathways” could contribute to stronger economies. PTI KND DIV DIV
