Bahraich (UP), Jun 21 (PTI) Four people, including two members of a family, died after they were electrocuted in separate incidents here, police said on Saturday.
In Munimpur Kalan village, Ismail (10) touched a table fan in his room and was electrocuted on Thursday night. His mother, Alam Ara (45), rushed to save him and was also electrocuted. Both of them died on the spot, police said.
In another incident in Baundi Shukla village under the Hardi police station area, Halima (50) suffered an electric shock after she touched a fan in her room on Friday, police said.
Her family rushed her to a nearby community health centre, from where she was referred to the Bahraich Medical College due to her serious condition. Halima succumbed to her injuries during treatment at the medical college, they said.
The third incident took place in Rohinibhari gram panchayat under the Vishweshwarganj police station area.
Chintaram (23), who worked with a private company in Mumbai and had returned to his village 15 days ago to see his ailing grandmother, was electrocuted by a decorative light and died on the spot on Friday, police said.
