Gorakhpur (UP), Apr 23 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday directed officials to constitute special teams for the prompt resolution of land disputes, asserting that rightful ownership must be protected and illegal occupation must be dealt with strictly.

Adityanath also said that if influential persons encroach upon any land, it should be freed and the guilty brought to justice.

“No one involved in illegal occupation of land should be spared,” the chief minister said.

According to an official statement, Adityanath was interacting with people during a ‘Janata Darshan’ programme at the Gorakhnath temple here, where he met around 200 individuals and heard their grievances.

Referring petitions to concerned officials, he instructed them to ensure quick and satisfactory redressal and assured people that the government is committed to ensuring justice and improving the quality of life of every citizen, the statement said.

“On land disputes, the chief minister specifically asked officials to deploy dedicated teams to expedite their resolution,” it said.

Several people also approached the chief minister seeking financial assistance for medical treatment. Adityanath assured them of full support and directed the officials concerned to expedite the process of preparing treatment estimates and submitting them to the government.

He also instructed police to handle cases with transparency and fairness, emphasising that no injustice should be done and that every complainant must be treated with sensitivity. PTI KIS ARI
