New Delhi, Apr 19 (PTI) A fire broke out in a readymade garments godown in east Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar on Sunday, an official of the Delhi Fire Service said.

The blaze was reported at 5.22 pm from the third floor of a building in Mahavir Gali, which was used as a garments godown, the official said.

More than eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames, which were brought under control by around 6.30 pm before they could spread to the nearby structures in the congested market area, he said.

“No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained,” the official said. PTI BM ARI
