New Delhi, May 13 (PTI) A massive fire broke out at a factory in outer Delhi’s Kanjhawala Industrial Area on Wednesday morning, prompting the deployment of 28 fire vehicles and a mini robot for firefighting operations, an official of the Delhi Fire Service said.
No injuries have been reported so far, according to the official.
The blaze was reported at around 9.50 am at a factory in the industrial area, following which multiple firefighting units were rushed to the spot, the official said.
As the flames intensified, the fire department demanded more firefighting units to douse the flames.
“We have pressed a total of 28 vehicles, including nine water tenders, 10 water bowsers, three big foam tenders, two multipurpose vehicles, one aerial water tower, one hydraulic platform, one incident response tender and one fire control communication vehicle,” the official said.
A mini robot was also sent to the spot on demand to assist in operations inside the smoke-filled premises. PTI BM SMV PRK
