Mumbai: A massive fire broke out at a chemical company in the Taloja Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area of Navi Mumbai on Friday.

Three fire tenders immediately reached the spot soon after receiving the information. The firefighting teams are working to extinguish the blaze and bring the situation under control.

The smoke has spread to the surrounding area. However, there are no reports of any casualties so far.

Earlier, on Wednesday, a fire broke out at a power loom factory in Khoni village, Siddharth Nagar, during the early hours, as per the officials.

The blaze escalated when a cylinder at the site exploded, resulting in one firefighter sustaining injuries.

According to fire officials, the fire has been successfully brought under control. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. (ANI)
