Jaipur, Jun 6 (PTI) Rajasthan BJP president Madan Rathore on Saturday said that the appointment of Ajey Kumar as the party’s state general secretary (organisation) would further strengthen the organisation in the state.
Speaking after Kumar’s arrival in Jaipur, Rathore said the BJP’s national leadership had entrusted the responsibility to an experienced and dedicated organisational worker.
Kumar offered prayers at the Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple and later held an organisational meeting at the BJP state headquarters attended by party office-bearers, district presidents and other functionaries.
Rathore said Kumar had devoted his life to organisational and social work and his experience would benefit the party in Rajasthan.
He said the BJP was organisationally prepared for upcoming elections and Kumar’s appointment would further enhance the party’s strength at the grassroots level.
Targeting former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, Rathore alleged that Gehlot’s political influence was declining and that he was making irrelevant statements in an attempt to remain politically relevant.
He claimed that Gehlot was repeatedly raising old controversies and publicly commenting on issues related to the Congress party’s internal affairs. PTI SDA APL APL
