Sheopur, Apr 16 (PTI) A boy and a girl who had run away after their families opposed their relationship allegedly committed suicide in Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur district, police said on Thursday.
The deceased, both around 17 years old, were found hanging from a tree.
The incident occurred under Bargawan police station limits. Families had filed a missing complaint on Wednesday after the two ran away from home, police said.
They were found hanging from a tree in the nearby forest on Thursday, said station house officer Shyamveer Singh Tomar.
While the girl was from Bargawan area, the boy was from Karahal. Both were in love with each other, but their families were opposed to their marriage as their ‘gotra’ was the same, the official said.
