New Delhi: To ensure the smooth conduct of the elections in Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana, the Election Commission of India has deployed over 400 observers, a PIB press release stated.
The observers will be responsible for monitoring the election process, maintaining the integrity of the electoral process, and ensuring the fair, impartial, and credible conduct of the elections.
The Election Commission of India has entrusted the observers with the important role of observing the election process, ensuring the fairness, impartiality, and credibility of the elections, and promoting voter awareness and participation in the election.
The observers will work closely with the Commission, political parties, candidates, and voters to ensure the smooth execution of the elections.
The observers have been given complete instructions about the election process and the role of the observers in the election.
Observers’ details like mobile/ landline numbers/ email addresses/ places of stay etc. to be widely publicised on CEO/ District websites; through electronic/ print media and the same must be circulated among Candidates/ recognised political parties by DEOs/ ROs on the day of arrival of Observers in their respective Constituencies.
The observers are expected to remain accessible to all stakeholders and to provide them with timely grievances resolution.
