Pronab Sen to Ashwini Vaishnaw — experts & leaders to speak at SRCC’s Shri Ram Economics Summit

New Delhi: Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) at the University of Delhi is set to host the 13th edition of the Shri Ram Economics Summit 2024 from 19-21 March. 

This event, organised by the Economics Society of SRCC in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), promises to be a grand three-day affair filled with a variety of stimulating activities.

The summit will serve as a hub for intellectual engagement, featuring an array of events such as lectures, fireside chats, live interviews, and panel discussions. These sessions will be led by renowned figures in economics, business, policy, and academia, aiming to ignite a vibrant exchange of ideas and innovations.

Highlighting the event are five intriguing competitions that cover a broad spectrum of topics, including data analysis, economics, business simulation, policymaking, and consulting. 

The speaker lineup for this year’s summit includes prominent personalities like Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw; Subhash Garg, former Economic Affairs Secretary and Finance Secretary of India; and Dr Pronab Sen, the first chief statistician of India and former principal adviser — Government of India’s Planning Commission.

Joining them are Dr Gautam Chikermane, vice-president at ORF; Harish Mehta, founding member and the first elected chairman of the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM); and Meenakshi Nevatia, CEO and Managing Director at Pfizer India.

The summit has a storied history of hosting eminent speakers from the field of economics, such as Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Nirmala Sitharaman, Late Arun Jaitley, Ajay Banga, and P. Chidambaram, and this year continues that tradition.
