New Delhi, Oct 16 (PTI) The Delhi Pollution Control Committee has floated a tender worth an estimated Rs 9 crore to supply, install, and integrate a city-wide video surveillance and pollution monitoring system, officials said on Friday.

According to the October 14 bid document, the tender includes the procurement of a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera, with bids scheduled to open on November 5.

The camera specifications include a minimum image-sensing capacity of five megapixels, optical zoom of more than 40 times, infrared illumination and support for onboard storage of up to 1 TB or higher.

The document also requires a security testing certification for the CCTV system from the Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) laboratory or another agency notified by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 21 in the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) conference hall in Delhi’s Shastri Park. This follows the inauguration of 13 new Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (CAAQMS) installed by the DPCC across Delhi and an Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s IT Park in Shastri Park. These initiatives aim to improve pollution monitoring and better coordinate efforts to tackle environmental violations, officials said.

The ICCC aims to strengthen Delhi’s fight against air pollution through technology-driven monitoring, data analysis and faster response. The centre will facilitate real-time monitoring of pollution levels, identify pollution hotspots, use AI-driven camera surveillance, and coordinate among concerned agencies to enable swift action against violations.

The selected bidder will supply, install, test, commission, and integrate the system. The tender provides for a three-year warranty, while installation, commissioning and testing must be completed within 10 days of the site being declared ready. The bid document specifies that payment will be made within 45 days of the issuance of the consignee receipt-cum-acceptance certificate and online submission of bills. PTI AHD ASD

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
