Directed by Parasher Baruah with concepts by Vibha Lakhera, the documentary — Weaves of Empathy: A Journey into Naga Oral History — explores the lived experiences of the Naga people through community elders and the younger generation, underscoring the importance of preserving oral histories and fostering mutual understanding.
The screening, held at the Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles, Laitkor, was attended by Air Marshal Inderpal Singh Walia, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Air Command, as the chief guest, along with Assam Rifles Director General Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, senior officers of the Army and Assam Rifles among others.
Speaking after the screening, Project Empathy founder Vibha Lakhera emphasised the role of storytelling in fostering empathy and strengthening social cohesion.
