New Delhi, May 11 (PTI) Traffic movement on a stretch of NH-09 from Ghaziabad to Sarai Kale Khan is likely to remain affected till June due to maintenance and carpeting work being carried out by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Delhi Traffic Police said on Monday.

In an advisory, police said lane restrictions have been imposed on the Ghaziabad-to-Sarai Kale Khan carriageway to facilitate the work, which may lead to congestion and slower traffic movement during peak hours.

“Commuters travelling towards east and central Delhi are likely to face delays on the affected stretch. Motorists have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and keep sufficient travel time while using the route,” read the advisory.

The traffic police also urged commuters to drive cautiously near the work zone and strictly follow traffic signages. People were advised to stay updated through Delhi Traffic Police channels for real-time traffic information. PTI BM BM NB NB
