New Delhi, May 27 (PTI) The Delhi Police and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology have signed an MoU to conduct specialised cyber courses for police personnel to tackle technology-enabled crimes, officials said on Wednesday.
The collaboration aims to strengthen Delhi Police’s capabilities in dealing with technology-enabled crimes through structured training in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Cyber Forensics and Social Media Monitoring.
The initiative is aimed at modernising policing methods and equipping personnel with the latest technological skills to tackle emerging cyber threats, online frauds, misinformation campaigns, identity theft and digital exploitation.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Tuesday in the presence of Commissioner of Police Satish Golchha. Special CP (Training) Sanjay Kumar and NIELIT Vice Chancellor Dr Madan Mohan Tripathi signed the agreement.
NIELIT, functioning under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), is a premier institution engaged in skill development and training in electronics, information technology and cybersecurity. PTI SSJ SSJ APL APL
