New Delhi, Jun 18 (PTI) Chief minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday said the Delhi government is dedicated to covering more people under its welfare schemes. She appealed to Delhiites to visit the Jan Kalyan Shivir which she inaugurated at the MCD Community Centre in northwest Delhi’s Sandesh Vihar.

The camps will operate from 10 am to 5 pm providing on-the-spot resolution for services related to ration cards, Ayushman cards, pensions, water connections and other schemes.

A total of 42 such camps, where people can get information about and register for various Delhi government and central government welfare schemes, will be held across the city till June 20 to mark the completion of 12 years of the Modi government.

The chief minister said through public participation and good governance, the government is reaching the last person in the queue.

Besides Gupta, Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra, Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, several BJP Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs, party MLAs and ministers in the Delhi government, mayor Pravesh Wahi among others inaugurated the Jan Kalyan centres in different parts of the city.

Delhi BJP chief Malhotra said the Jan Kalyan Shivirs have brought several schemes and facilities from both the Delhi government and the Centre directly to people’s doorsteps.

A Delhi CMO statement said these camps provide access to a wide range of welfare schemes and services under one roof. These include services related to Pink Cards, Ration Cards, e-Shram Cards, Jan Dhan Accounts, the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana and the PM-UDAY Scheme, it said.

Facilities are also available for the Prime Minister SVANidhi Scheme, Aadhaar registration, ‘Talent Hunt – Hauslon Ki Udaan’, the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana, House Tax-related services, information on solar power under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, and loan facilities for MSMEs and industries, it said.
