Delhi govt bureaucratic reshuffle: 23 IAS, DANICS officers given key postings

New Delhi, May 9 (PTI) In a major administrative reshuffle involving 23 senior IAS and DANICS officers, the Delhi government has posted Navin Kumar Choudhary as Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department.

A services department order issued on Friday said the 1997-batch Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories(AGMUT) cadre IAS officer Sandeep Kumar will be the principal secretary of Public Works Department (PWD), earlier headed by Choudhary.

Vikas Anand (2002 IAS), secretary to the chief minister, will also serve as Director of the Union Territory Civil Services (UTCS), replacing Bipul Pathak, besides holding the post of Secretary, Information and Publicity department.

The reshuffle involved 12 IAS and 11 DANICS (Delhi Andaman & Nicobar Lakshadweep Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli Civil Services) officers.

DANICS officer Prashant Kumar, 2010 batch, holding the charge of Additional Secretary in the Public Grievances Commission under the chief minister’s Office, will also hold additional charge of Director of the Directorate of Information and Publicity (DIP), said the order.

In other important changes, Dilraj Kaur (2000 IAS), awaiting posting, has been appointed Managing Director of the Delhi Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation with additional charge of the Delhi Cooperative Housing Finance Corporation.

Nandini Paliwal (2003 IAS) was appointed Secretary (Vigilance) and was also given additional charge of Secretary (Services) and Chairperson of the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB). Yashpal Garg (2008) was posted as Secretary (Planning) with additional charge of Secretary (Land and Building) and Development Commissioner.

G Sudhakar (2012 IAS), district magistrate of Central Delhi, has been posted as director of the Women and Child Development department with additional charge of managing director of the State Urban Livelihoods Mission.

Kishore Kshirasagar Lakshman (2010 IAS) was appointed District Magistrate (Old Delhi), and Yash Chaudhary was posted as Special Secretary (Health).

Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy (2020 IAS) was appointed Special Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, while Rajeev Singh was made Member of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board with additional charge of Special Secretary (Land and Building). PTI VIT MPL MPL
