Guwahati, Jun 23 (PTI) Assam witnessed a decline in COVID-19 cases with five more people recovering from the infection in the last 24 hours, according to official data released on Monday.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare website, there are 41 active cases in Assam, down by four since Sunday’s figure.

Since January this year, Assam has seen 50 people recovering from COVID-19, including five in the last 24 hours, it added.

There are 4,425 active COVID-19 cases in India, and one more death has been reported in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said. Official sources have maintained that most cases are mild and managed under home care. PTI TR TR ACD
