Court employee found dead in Una

Una (HP), Jun 18 (PTI) A court employee was found dead in his rented accommodation on June 17 in Una town, police said on Wednesday.

Reports claimed the body of 45-year-old Kashmir Singh, employed as a peon in the local court, was found in his rented room.

Singh, who hails from Badai village of Nagarota Bangwa tehsil of Kangra district, lived in Mohalla Gurusar, Ward 2 of Una.

He is survived by his wife Sapna, who told the police that she last spoke to her husband on June 14 and since then she was unable to reach him.

When she reached Una, she found the door of the house open with her husband’s motionless body lying in a semi-nude state.

Upon receiving the information, a team of city police station reached the spot and took the body in custody following which it was sent for a post-mortem.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Bhatia, a case was registered and the investigation is underway.

Police are investigating the case on the basis of Sapna’s complaint and the cause of his death would be ascertained once the post-mortem report was out, he added. PTI BPL AMK AMK
