Idukki (Kerala), Apr 15 (PTI) After a long and intense election campaign in Kerala, Congress leader V D Satheesan has taken a break and is spending time at a resort in Kuttikanam here ahead of the poll results to be announced on May 4.
Satheesan shared pictures and videos from his trip with family in one of his Facebook account on Wednesday.
During the election campaign, Satheesan had said he would go on a political “vanavas” (exile), if the UDF failed to secure a decisive victory.
Following the remark, LDF leaders had taken a dig at him, saying he should keep his word after the results are announced.
Congress MP K Sudhakaran, who had differences with Satheesan, had earlier said he would pray that the Leader of Opposition would not have to go on “vanavas”.
“In the forest… not for vanavas, but for a strong comeback. The surprise will be complete when the box is opened on May 4,” Satheesan wrote on his Facebook page along with pictures and videos of the trip.
He also shared a video of himself trekking with friends.
Kerala witnessed a high-voltage campaign for the polls held on April 9.
Political developments are expected to gather pace when the results for the 140 Assembly constituencies are announced on May 4. PTI TBA TBA KH
