Ahmedabad, Sep 26 (PTI) The Indian Coast Guard rescued seven crew members from a damaged boat off Jakhau coast of Kutch district, it said on Saturday.
The rescue operation took place on Friday and the crew was brought to Jakhau harbour in Gujarat on Saturday in stable condition, the ICG said in a post on X.
Coast Guard ship ‘Apoorva’ responded to a distress call from IFB Parameshwari, located 32 NM west off Jakhau, as the latter had suffered hull damage and its engine compartment was flooding.
Battling adverse weather, the ICG team safely rescued all seven crew members, it added. PTI COR PD KRK
