Ahmedabad, Jun 18 (PTI) Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday travelled to south Gujarat by a Vande Bharat Express in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to citizens to use public transport services to help save fuel.
In a post on X, Patel said he has embarked on a two-day visit to tribal areas of south Gujarat along with Governor Acharya Devvrat and Gujarat BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma.
“During the successful tenure of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, an unprecedented consciousness of development has awakened in tribal areas,” Patel said.
Referring to his train journey, Patel said, “The Prime Minister has appealed to the countrymen to prioritize public transport services with the objective of saving fuel, and accordingly, we undertook this journey on Vande Bharat.” When Vande Bharat passes through the midst of surrounding greenery, it truly leaves one wonderstruck while beholding the beauty of nature, he remarked.
The chief minister said during the two-day visit, he would meet residents of Achhvani and Panikhdaak villages of Navsari district and hold discussions on various development-related issues.
“We will engage in dialogue on various issues of development. We will particularly cover topics such as natural farming and cleanliness,” Patel said.
“The opportunity to dine with villagers and stay overnight in a village itself is bound to remain memorable,” he added. PTI PJT RSY
