Bhopal, Jun 16 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday reviewed preparations for the NEET (Undergraduate) re-examination, scheduled for June 21.

Conducting a meeting through video link, Yadav said the preparations should be completed ahead of time, officials said.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate medical courses will be conducted at 283 centers in 30 districts across the state.

Yadav directed the Higher Education Department, which coordinates the NEET, to install biometric machines, CCTV cameras and jammers at all exam centers by June 19 and conduct a trial run on June 20.

As President Droupadi Murmu is slated to visit Jabalpur on the same day, administrative and police officials should ensure traffic management in the city so that candidates can reach their exam centers without any obstacles, said the CM.

As InternationalYoga Day will also be celebrated on June 21, officials should ensure that events related to Yoga Day do not pose traffic problems for candidates, Yadav said. If any candidate faces transportation difficulties, administrative and police officials should assist them using either a government vehicle or their own vehicle, the CM added.

Yadav also told the Collectors and Superintendents of Police of all 30 districts and officials involved in the arrangements for NEET that the SOPs for NEET will also be used for all examinations held in the state in future.

Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education and Public Relations, Anupam Rajan, stated that a district-level coordination committee has been formed for the NEET.

A control room has been established, and an Assistant Sub-Inspector-level police officer has been appointed at each examination center, he said.

The exam question papers have arrived in the state and are safely stored in two notified banks designated by the National Testing Agency, Rajan said.

A two-tier security system will be in place at the examination centers. The outer security layer will be composed of state police and home guards, while the inner security layer will be composed of an agency appointed by the NTA.

Generators will be provided at all examination centers besides proper lighting and fans. There will be a primary health worker and first aid kits at each center, and a health team of doctors and paramedics will be present in the control room.
