Jamshedpur, Jun 16 (PTI) A chain snatcher sustained injury in police firing after he snatched the service firearm of a sub-inspector and opened fire at cops in Jamshedpur on Tuesday, a police officer said.
The police had taken the chain snatcher, identified as Harpal alias Gabru, to recover a firearm and gold chain he had concealed at a place near Surya Mandi well past midnight on Monday.
Gabru pushed down sub-inspector Sushant and snatched the service pistol and fired three rounds, the SP said.
