Car plunges into gorge in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag, three killed

Dehradun, Apr 23 (PTI) Three people were killed after a car skidded off a road and fell into a 250-metre-deep gorge in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district, police said on Thursday.

The accident occurred on the Bhiri-Kakola motor road during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.

Police received information about the incident around midnight and immediately launched a search and rescue operation in the area.

The vehicle was heading towards Auring from Bhiri when the driver lost control.

All three occupants died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Naveen Singh (30), Amit Singh (35), and Anshul (28). The victims were local residents of the area. PTI DPT AKY AKY DV DV
