BJP takes out ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ march in Jharkhand

Stay updated with ThePrint:

Giridh (Jharkhand), Nov 3 (PTI) Hundreds of BJP leaders and workers on Tuesday took out a ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ march in Jharkhand’s Giridih district, accusing the Congress of misleading people and spreading anarchy in the country.

Led by state BJP president Aditya Sahu, the march began at Jhanda Maidan and covered around 300 metres before culminating at Tower Chowk.

Senior BJP leaders, including Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi and former state BJP president Ravindra Rai, participated in the march.

“Congress is working to strengthen foreign forces in the country. People have seen Congress rule for over 60 years and the 12 years of the Modi government. The government has reached out to needy people and provided them benefits under several welfare schemes,” Sahu said.

He alleged that people had lost faith in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his statements.

Marandi alleged that the Congress and the INDIA bloc had been trying to mislead people since the Modi government came to power in 2014.

“The Congress and INDIA bloc have been attempting to mislead people ever since the Modi government came to power in 2014. Earlier, they alleged irregularities in EVMs and now in SIR. No eligible voters were removed from the electoral rolls. The names of Bangladeshi infiltrators were struck off. So, in the name of the ‘Save Vote’ campaign, they want to protect the voting rights of Bangladeshi infiltrators,” he said.

The former chief minister said the BJP had launched the ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ campaign across the country to counter what he described as the Congress’s “false narrative”. PTI SAN SAN MNB
