Kolkata, Sep 26 (PTI) BJP national president Nitin Nabin will undertake a two-day visit to West Bengal from September 27, during which he will hold a series of organisational meetings with state leaders, MPs, MLAs and other functionaries, party sources said.
Nabin will arrive here on Sunday and participate in the Prime Minister’s monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in New Town at 11 am, according to the schedule shared by the party.
He will thereafter chair an organisational review meeting with state office-bearers, Vibhag convenors, state Morcha presidents, district in-charges and district presidents, besides officials handling IT, media and social media.
The BJP president is also scheduled to hold a meeting with the party’s MPs and MLAs from the state to discuss organisational matters and coordination between elected representatives and the party organisation.
He will later meet members of the state core group and senior leaders.
Nabin is also scheduled to interact with prominent personalities, civil society representatives and cultural figures at an evening meeting in Kolkata.
On Monday, the second day of his visit, Nabin will travel to Panihati in North 24 Parganas, where he will participate in an ‘Angan Ka Milan’ seva programme at Lok Sanskriti Bhawan at 10:30 am.
He will subsequently address a youth interaction programme, ‘Yuva Samvad Conclave’, at Space Circle Club at 12:30 pm.
The visit comes amid a series of organisational activities by the BJP in the state.
The party has recently carried out changes in several organisational positions in the state, including in its Mahila Morcha, Yuva Morcha, state committee and seven organisational districts. PTI PNT MNB
