Patna, May 10 (PTI) The NDA government in Bihar on Sunday carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 11 IAS and 16 IPS officers, officials said.
According to a notification by the General Administration Department, HR Sriniwas, a 1996-batch IAS officer, has been appointed additional chief secretary of the social welfare department.
Santosh Kumar Mall (1997 batch) has been appointed principal secretary of the disaster management department, while Lokesh Kumar Singh (2003 batch) has been made secretary of the tourism department, the notification said.
Kumar Ravi (2005 batch) has been appointed secretary of the health department, Ajay Yadav (2005 batch) secretary of the energy department, and Sanjay Kumar Singh (2007 batch) secretary of the finance department, it said.
Pranav Kumar (2008 batch) has been appointed secretary of the building construction department, Manoj Kumar Singh (2009 batch) resident commissioner of Bihar Bhawan in New Delhi, and Chandrashekhar Singh (2010 batch) secretary of the water resources department.
Among IPS officers, Sudhanshu Kumar (1996 batch) has been appointed additional director general (Law and Order), while Nirmal Kumar Azad (1994 batch) has been made director general (Training), officials said.
Amit Kumar Jain (1996 batch) has been appointed ADG of the economic offences unit, Nayyar Hasnain Khan (1996 batch) ADG of Bihar Special Armed Police, Amit Lodha (1998 batch) ADG (Wireless and Technical Services), and Amrit Raj (1998 batch) ADG of the cybercrime-cum-security unit, the notification added.
