Bhopal, Jul 20 (PTI) The Bhopal district administration has banned the use of e-rickshaws to ferry schoolchildren due to safety concerns, an official said on Sunday.
“E-rickshaws are unsafe vehicles for transporting school children. Ensuring the safety of young students is a matter of utmost importance. Therefore, the transportation of schoolchildren via e-rickshaws is prohibited,” the order issued by District Collector Kaushalendra Singh said.
The order warned that schools found violating the directive would face action.
