Kolkata, Sep 25 (PTI) West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday paid homage to BJP ideologue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his 110th birth anniversary.
In a Facebook post, Adhikari said, “My respectful homage to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji, the founder of Integral Humanism, a political karmayogi, a patriot and a guide.”
Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary is observed by the BJP as a day to remember his contribution to the party and his political philosophy.
Born in Mathura, Upadhyay was a key organisational functionary of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which later gave rise to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
