Sandhu visited the Fire Service Management Academy in Rohini to review the operational readiness and training standards of the Delhi Fire Service. “With the summer season setting in, reiterated the need for proactive vigilance, regular fire audits and sustained public awareness campaigns. Our focus remains on closing compliance gaps and modernising infrastructure to build a safer, more resilient Delhi,” Sandhu said in a post on social media. Stressing the critical importance of fire safety in urban governance, especially in schools and hospitals, the lieutenant governor directed officials to intensify inspections, fast-track pending NOC applications, and enforce strict action against safety lapses. “Paid tribute to our brave firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty,” Sandhu further said in his post.
