New Delhi, Apr 20 (PTI) Delhi woke up to a warm morning on Monday, with the minimum temperature settling at 22.8 degrees Celsius.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Safdarjung, the city’s base station, recorded a minimum temperature of 22.8 degrees Celsius, 1.2 notches above normal. At Palam, the minimum settled at 22.6 degrees Celsius, marginally above the season’s average.

Lodhi Road recorded 20.2 degrees Celsius, slightly below normal, making it one of the more comfortable pockets in the capital.

The Ridge area recorded a minimum of 23.2 degrees Celsius, while Ayanagar saw the temperature dipping to 21.8 degrees Celsius, both staying close to typical levels for this time of year.

The maximum is likely to settle around 41 degrees Celsius Delhi’s air quality settled in the ‘moderate’ category in the morning with the air quality index (AQI) reading of 194, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.PTI VBH DV DV
