7 district collectors among 42 IAS officers transferred in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, May 6 (PTI) The Chhattisgarh government on Wednesday transferred 42 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including seven district collectors, and promoted an Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer.

An order to this effect was issued by secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD) Rajat Kumar in the evening, a government official said here.

The Collectors of Bijapur, Balrampur-Ramanujganj, Surajpur, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Koriya, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, districts have been transferred, the order said.

A 1994-batch IAS officer and Additional Chief Principal Secretary (Home & Jail Department), Manoj Kumar Pingua, has been appointed Additional Chief Principal Secretary, Department of Forests and Climate Change.

A 2013-batch IAS officer and Balrampur-Ramanujganj Collector, Rajednra Kumar Katara, has been posted as Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, with additional charge of Director, Ayush and Registrar, Firm & Societies in the state.

Mannedragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur Collector D Rahul Venkat (2016-batch) has been made Commissioner of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department with additional charge of Secretary, Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CPSC).

A 2016-batch IAS and Sarangarh-Bilagarh Collector Sanjay Kannauje has been named as Director, Culture Department, with additional charge of Director, Religious Trusts and Endowments Department.

Bijapur collector Sambit Mishra (2018 batch) has been posted as Raipur Municipal Commissioner with additional charge of Managing Director of Raipur Smart City Ltd.

A 2016-batch Indian Forest Service bureaucrat, Mayank Agrawal, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS). He was earlier serving as Chief Operating Officer of CHiPS, a government-run entity. PTI COR RSY
