Jaipur, Apr 30 (PTI) The Rajasthan Forest Department has barred three safari vehicles along with their drivers and guides for allegedly taking tourists into a restricted area of Ranthambore National Park, officials said on Thursday.
The incident occurred on April 28 during a morning safari in Zone 2 of the park.
Deputy Conservator of Forests (Tourism) Sanjeev Sharma said action has been ordered against the vehicles, while guides Rajendra Singh Rathore, Vijay Singh Rathore and Balveer Singh Rathore have been accused of violating park rules.
During the probe, the GPS of one of the vehicles was found switched off, raising concerns over monitoring and transparency, he said.
The officials have sought explanations from those involved within three days and warned of strict action. The vehicles, drivers and guides have been barred from entering the park until further notice. PTI AG APL APL
