Prayagraj (UP), Jun 16 (PTI) Three elderly members of a family were allegedly murdered on Tuesday in Kukur Katwa village of the Yamuna Nagar region, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Yamuna Nagar) Vivek Chandra Yadav said that all three bore injury marks on their heads.
They were identified as Shyam Lal, 65, Amravati, 60, and Indravati, 60.
Their bodies were sent for a post-mortem.
According to the officer, family members have expressed suspicion that Himanshu Yadav (22), a youth from the same village, committed the murders.
Police have registered a case against Himanshu Yadav.
The DCP said that the three bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination.
Police teams have been formed to arrest the absconding accused and the motive behind the incident will only be ascertained after the arrest.
