Jaipur, Aug 28 (PTI) Three people were killed and 25 injured in three separate road accidents on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Dausa district on Friday, police said.
The first accident occurred near Gudliya village under the Kolwa police station area when a sleeper bus heading from Ahmedabad to Delhi rammed into a truck ahead of it, Dausa Superintendent of Police Piyush Dixit said.
The bus driver, Surendra Singh Rajput, 46, of Amrewaadi in Ahmedabad, died in the accident, while 21 passengers were injured.
The injured passengers were admitted to Dausa district hospital for treatment.
In the second accident, two people were killed after being hit by a speeding truck near Chudiyawas village in the Nangal Rajawatan police station area, the police said.
Nangal Rajawatan SHO Hussain Ali said 16-year-old Sahil Meena and 22-year-old Mahendra Meena were standing near the expressway railing when the truck, travelling from Dausa towards Lalsot, hit them.
The truck driver fled the spot after the accident. The families took the two injured men to the district hospital, where doctors declared them dead, the police said, adding the search for the truck driver is underway.
Four people were injured in the third accident after their car was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the expressway under the Sadar police station area.
The injured were identified as Lokesh Singh (25), Piyush Agrawal (27), Ruchir Vyas (25) and Vineet Verma (43), all residents of Jaipur. They have been admitted to Dausa district hospital for treatment, the police said. PTI AG SMV SMV AMJ AMJ
