Dhanbad, Aug 28 (PTI) Three children drowned in a pond at Ranglitand village in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad district on Friday afternoon, police said.

Baghmara SDPO Ajit Kumar Vimal said the three children belonging to a nomadic community were taking bath in the pond when the incident took place.

They were taken to the Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Medical College and Hospital in Dhanbad, where doctors declared them dead, the officer said.

The deceased, including two girls, have been identified as Raljhol Billor (12), Abha Kumari (8) and Pandro Billor.

The bodies will be sent for post-mortem examination, he added. PTI ANB RBT
