Gurugram, Mar 31 (PTI) The Gurugram administration has set up a control room that will manage complaints regarding LPG cylinder shortages throughout the day, an official said on Tuesday.
The dedicated control room, located on the second floor of the Mini Secretariat, will provide 24-hour assistance to consumers.
People can lodge complaints regarding on gas cylinder shortages, supply delays, black marketing or illegal stockpiling, the official said.
Gurugram DC Ajay Kumar said that the district administration is continuously taking strict steps to effectively control the black marketing, hoarding and illegal diversion of LPG in the district.
“To prevent the black marketing of LPG gas, six teams are active in the field daily, conducting frequent inspections of gas agencies, warehouses, and suspicious locations. This enables immediate identification of any irregularities and prompt action,” the DC added.
District Food and Supplies Controller Ashok Rawat said that all the complaints received on the control room landline number 0124-2868930 will be resolved on priority basis.
“There is sufficient stock of LPG in the district, and consumers need not panic. Currently, 58 gas agencies have a total stock of 15,311 cylinders, ensuring uninterrupted supply. The department is monitoring supply and distribution on a daily basis to ensure no future shortages,” he added. PTI COR SKY SKY
