Gayaji, May 3 (PTI) A 21-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in Bihar’s Gayaji district, police said on Sunday.

The incident took place in the Belaganj police station area on Friday evening, soon after the woman deboarded a passenger train, they said.

SP (City) Kota Kiran Kumar said the incident happened between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm, but police were informed about it the following day.

An FIR was registered on Saturday, and five suspects have since been detained, he said.

“The victim has undergone medical examination and is being provided with all necessary assistance. We are currently interrogating the detained individuals,” he told PTI.
