New Delhi, Sep 24 (PTI) A passenger was killed and two others were injured after a group of unidentified men allegedly intercepted an e-rickshaw and attacked its occupants in north Delhi’s Kashmere Gate on Thursday evening, police said.
The incident took place at around 7:30 pm. Police received information about a stabbing incident near Yamuna Bazaar, following which a team rushed to the spot.
Three passengers were found injured in the attack and were rushed to a hospital for treatment, police said.
One of the injured passengers subsequently succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while the other two are undergoing treatment, they added.
Preliminary information suggests that the accused intercepted the e-rickshaw and attacked the passengers before fleeing the spot, police said.
Efforts are being made to identify and apprehend the accused. Police are also scanning CCTV footage collected from the area to establish the sequence of events and identify those involved. PTI SSJ RC
