New Delhi: Ranjan Gogoi, India’s 46th Chief Justice of India (CJI), served his last working day Friday. Gogoi, the first CJI from the northeast, had taken oath on 3 October 2018.
Over his 13-month tenure, he handled several big-ticket cases, including the Ram Janmabhoomi matter and triple talaq. Gogoi, who turns 65 Sunday, also headed the bench that brought the office of the CJI under the Right to Information Act.
Here are some glimpses from Gogoi’s last working day, as captured by ThePrint’s Praveen Jain and Suraj Singh Bisht.
